I have the same problem too! I have the thickest hair curlies! When I needed to find it forever now! and not always as straight as I want! But the other day I went to a beauty salon and hair smooth and was very direct! I was sad when I wash my hair the next day! I wanted my hair as always! They used the CHI iron, I recommend wholeheartedly to! in saving up for himself and the goal is about $ 120. My previous straighteners have the best, would be another $ 40 and another about 100, not to be cheap in the straighteners again. I love the Chi.

Herstyler! I strongly wavy / fluffy hair, too!
I have a Herstyler I bought last year. He has a lifetime warranty, so you run back and get a new one, as they happen. And do not fry your hair. In reality, it is super soft and shiny. : D
I think I have my own perhaps $ 110 or less.

Paul Brown Hawaii, it is ceramic and up to 425 degrees, I think, under $ 100, but two benefit me and my sis, you have fine hair and mine is very thick. So make sure to straighten in sections. You also need a heat / off Spay, the hair from heat damage (I use a guardian angel protecting the protection of 425 degrees at once perfect, but it also adds a glint to) your hair.

I use a Sedu iron and my hair is very thick. It works very well. I then Folica.com for about $ 120 with shipping. I think it was worth it, because I will take a long time, and a rectifier is great, I have 2 years and was still in perfect condition. I suggest you get the Sedu iron!

Rectifiers everything works well if you strengthen your hair layered. What I do is learn how to remove your hair in a ponytail, and then small pieces one by one on the right side. It may take some time, but it works.
